Omega-3 fish oil is an important source of long-chain essential fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Research has shown that EPA and DHA help maintain cardiovascular health and help to reduce serum triglycerides/triacylglycerols.
